the clinder head was redisned to give fuel a better flow into the combustion chamber, kind of like today,s hi swirl heads.the blocks were cast thicker to give them more meat in the wall,s.the cam had more advance ground into it right from the start,1/8 larger bore they had started to lighten up some of the valve train and didn,t finsh that job till the 450,they had started to find out heavy part,s robbded horse-power,wen you look at the 450 lp head you must say they had a flow bench to make sutch a radical change in the head.they also new that some of the thing,s like kive pto and hydrulic,s took more power so wen you look under the belly there,s a little lever to shut of the live pto wen you were doing heavy field work.also gas was getting better so they started to turn up the compresion ratio and use light weigth piston.the drive train had many more good pice,s like the wedge plate that went under the front end to make it stear better.
