What color the dashes were is like asking who has the best food. Going to get a lot of different answers. some say a sort gun metal gray on a 300 and satin black on a 350. Some say the satin black wasn't used until the 60 series in 1960. All I know is that most ever dash I took out has grey under the gauge lips and grey up on top where the light is unless the cover was removed before a repaint. Have had them with repaints in red, grey and black and also rusty ones. Last I heard Guy Fay and Ken Updike disagree on the 50 series color.
