I finally got around to pulling the head on my stuck 460 diesel. #2 cylinder, from the front, was on an exhaust stroke and water must have gotten in there. It's rusted pretty good and it's almost at the top of the sleeve. I have never rebuilt a sleeved engine and My question is does the sleeve remove from the top or do have to drop the crank. i'm told I can just replace the one sleeve and piston and that is the way I'm gonna go unless I get advice here otherwise. I'm having the head checked for cracks and the valves look good. I think this engine might have been rebuilt at one point as there are no ridges at the top of th other sleeves. Does this make sense to others. I really enjoy working on these projects and have recently bought a 350LP T/A for $700. It looks good and runs great. Thanks for any advice
