The M and H carbs do not have an air flapper valve in the choke butterfly. The correct starting procedure is full choke for one or two revolutions and half or three quarter choke until it starts. If you leave the choke on full too long, raw gasoline will be drawn into the carburetor throat and will run out the drain hole. Consequently, it is very easy to flood these tractors when starting. The Super series remedied this problem by incorporating an air bleed flapper in the choke.
