just looking at your pics again and have a question.
I see the PTO shaft running through your differential... same set up as my 434. If I reach in and try to wiggle the front end of that shaft (with PTO lever disengaged), I get all kinds of play... like 1/8" to 3/16". I pulled the shaft out and see there is just a pin on one shaft fitting into a hole on the other - steel on steel. no bearing, no bushing, etc.
With PTO lever engaged, the collar lines up the shafts and all play is gone.
With PTO disengaged, do you feel a lot of play in the front of the shaft?
It seems like a bad design... should keep the PTO engaged as much as possible to minimize the steel on steel rotation between the shafts.
