My wife is very supportive and often looks at craigs list for Farmall parts.
For me it was my late dad's super c (which I still have) when you grow up with a machine, work it side by side, it becomes part of you, and like family. it;s been such a faithful old tractor, I sometimes I want to rescue it;s brethren LOL!
To me, tractors represent a better time in America, Family and farm. These old machines were designed and built well by American craftsmen. and something to be proud of.They worked hard, putting food on our table, often for several generations.
Every time I mount the super c, I think of Daddy in the field in Lewisburg Kentucky, with the cultivators mounted, rear wheels spread out, plowing tobacco on that rolling hill. Id stand at the end of the row when I got home from school, and as he topped the hill, the muffler would appear, and then his bald head...memories.
To me tractors are that, and more. Always like a old faithful friend, Doing what you ask of them, and seldom complaining. you know you can rely on her. Tractors don't care who you are, or who you aren't.
