When I had the motor rebuilt I asked the guy if he could mill down the manifold some. He told me he could but would ruin to many blades because he didn't have the right machine combined with the hardness of the metal and the amount of surface area so he wouldn't. I think if he did he would have push the price of new blades directly onto me. The gentleman is a one man operation out of his own shop and he came very highly recommended to me so I didn't push the idea of milling the manifold.
