Why not use the 15w-40? What's wrong with it? That's what most tractors get used in them. We had some blow-by in a couple 1066s and switched from CIH oil to Rotella and cleared it up in the one.
The other had the wrong valve guides and seals. Found out when it broke a valve off that it had three different guides in it. Some job that dealer did o the rebuild.
