Month on the rear housing is later than a late H would be so it may have the SH gears unless they installed the H transmission parts in. If your old H has the standard gears, jack a wheel up on both. Turn the engines a few turns the same amount with tractors in 4th gear. The wheel will turn a greater distance for SH gears. If engine is stuck or just want to do another way, Mark wheels and block the clutch pedals down and turn the pto shafts the same # of turns. SH gears should turn the wheel more in 2, 3 and 4. They used I in 1939.
