Went by the 856 I posted about yesterday. The snow had melted off of it now and saw that it had a filter on the side of the engine. If you're looking at the front of the tractor the filter is on the left hand side towards the back of the engine. I was going through the arcives and got a mixed bag of answers of which engine it might be with the placement of the filter. I now assume it's a diesel and also assume it's the D407. Would the placement of the filter confrim that or does anybody think it would make it a D414? Also depending on which engine it is are there any issues with the diesels? Everything I read said the D407 is an excellent engine but I just wanna make sure that it would make a reliable tractor before I inquire about it. Thanks!
