It's kinda odd, the one with the notched platform which is right for a '39 has the wrong PTO shield on it.....The early ones with the 1 1/8 PTO shaft had a short guard because the dog clutch was inside the main housing and the shaft didn't protrude from the rear housing very far, The other tractor with the flat platform has the 1 3/8 inch PTO shaft with the extension housing enclosing the dog clutch and you didn't see this on H's until the middle '42 models. The Monroe type seat is the latest type you didn't see on any early models. The aftermarket early seats had a longer shock behind the spring, not the short one in front like this tractor has. Better check the casting code numbers on this one's rear case and axle housings. Something "just ain't right" here.
