A fellow over on the AgTalk forum was talking about a D282 that had the pre-combustion chambers tapped to accept Ford glowplugs. There are a couple advantages I can think of with this arrangement; 1. Quick heating element to reduce glowplug run time. 2. Cheaper - Ford glowplugs are selling for $19 online.
Does anyone here have experience doing this? I"d love to hear more details on what plugs to buy, wiring changes, etc.
