Jerry I have a Super A and this spring I had a samiliar kind of problem,so I believe you! I started the engine one day and all of a sudden it started to make a terrible banging noise. A loud metal to metal rattling, banging type of noise. I quick turned the engine off and found that I could barely turn it over with the hand crank. It would turn OK for part of a revolution and then almost bind up at one point. After a bit of checking, it turned out that a piece of metal, about 1/2 x 1/2 got sucked into the #4 cylinder. I figure it must have entered thru the intake valve. After I got the metal out the engine ran fine. Never did find out where the metal came from and I'm still puzzled by the whole thing. I was able to see the piece of metal in the cylinder with the head still on by removing the spark plug. It was probably just luck that allowed me to see the metal piece, but you might want to try that first. Pete
