You've got a rare animal on your hands there. I don't think many '84 series tractors had TAs. You'd normally see more replies for a TA question by now.
The '84 series is based off the British Utility tractors, not the American Farmalls. In fact, I think they were manufactured in Doncaster.
They have nothing in common with either family of TA-equipped Farmall tractors. Those are the tractors based off the Super MTA design, and the tractors based off the 706/806 design.
Don't quote me on this, but I think the TA was added to the '84 series late in production.
Hopefully one of the IH mechanics that frequents this board comes along and has some input.
