Hi, the 74/84/95/32XX Series were all built in Doncaster UK and Diesel engines build in Neuss Germany. The units sold in USA were shipped in parts and assembled in USA using some different parts than UK built ones. One big differences was USA had Delco electrical system and UK had Lucas electrics. In Canada the tractors were fully assembled but with Canadian safety requirements. The tractors could be ordered with either T/A or Fast Reverse as an option.
Direct drive (HI) is a hydraulic clutch pack and in LO is a mechanical sprag clutch with a friction clutch prevents free wheeling. There is a small hydraulic pump that runs off the PTO shaft and is fed by the hydraulic oil cooler return line, that is used to power the hydraulic clutch pack for the direct drive (HI). There is a pressure check and adjustment on the output of this hydraulic pump.
