Don't know if they quit making the tie rod in front axle attachment when the new type was released Feb. 1954 or they had a bunch left over. Strangely IH made some different support rods for the old type wide front to use for mounting one on a SMTA tractor if wanted. After the new type wide front was out IH sold a attachment with the new type wide front for use on H and M and previous Super H and M tractors.
