656 was a good 55 hp tractor, had good hydraulics, hitch could be 2 or 3 point, IPTO was 540 (common) or 1000 (rare), easy shifting, all had power steering. They were Farmall row crop or International utilty type. Engines were 263 IH gas or Glow Plug 282 diesel, all US made. 666/686 had same gas engines, some 291 cu in, diesel were D312 IH US made, later were D310 German IH.
