I think the glow plugs on the 424 engine are connected in parallel. No need to replace all of them unless they are all bad, as these are kind of expensive. Take the wires loose from them and check with an ohm meter to see if they have the resistance they should have. If they show high resistance (open circuit) then they are bad. Someone on the forum here may be able to tell you what the resistance should be or you can find it in a manual. You can get the replacement glow plugs you need at an IH dealer. Several have websites and sell on the internet.
