A mag doesn't require battery voltage. Your battery is only needed for starting and lights. Your mag can makes it's own hot fire. Call Standard Magneto at 1-800-624-6386 to see if they can rebuild your mag. Hal PS: When you remove your mag note where your rotor is pointing and make a sketch where its pointing. Then don't move the engine once the mag is off. Then when you get the mag back just rotate the rotor that's shown in the sketch and install it. This is so your mag will be in time.
