You can do it. If the engine is longer your frame rails will be to short so you will have to extend them and your hoods along with other things to complete your "adpapter kit". Is it worth it? A 706 would have a much better shot at holding the horsepower without disentigrating the transmission. But hey if you got parts just laying around mihgt as well have fun.
