I have been looking in AL for Hs and $1000 for a running H is a decent price. Prices range from $800-$1800 depending on conditions and equipment. Just beware that just because it has been with an owner a long time does not mean it has been well cared for. I bought a Super H for $950 with good tires and 3pt hitch, belt pully, live hydraulics and wide front from a guy who had owned it for 35 years...he just disconnected anything that stopped working. It is still missing a few parts, and I'll have over 2k in it before I'm done (probably a lot more), but it will be a good general purpose 25-30 horse tractor...try getting a new one for that.
