Standard size pulleys on the older 4 cylinder gave a sort of slow belt speed compared to the speeds of most other makes of tractors so you might need a next size larger than stock for your useage. Example...we found we could blow a lot more silage with our Gehl belt powered blower with a W9 pulley on our W6 or SMTA...or even the W6 pulley on our H. Farmalls run about 2600 FPM with stock pulleys...2 cylinder John Deeres run over 3200 FPM.
