One thing we are not sure of yet- this was my grandpa's tractor and he took 2 tractors and made one- we know that one was a LP and we know he has 2 head gaskets on it to lower the compression. Did Farmall run different pistons in the LP's? I know they ran a different head just wondering where they got their compression at. Whats the number on the LP head or gas head? We are disassembling it this week so I just want to figure out what I've got for sure before I start ordering parts. Not going to pull this one (thats what the deeres are for- ha ha ha) this one augers alot of corn and beans and sits on the post pounder alot, but it never hurts to have extra power. My grandpa was a IH mechanic and a general overall tinker'r so only him and god know what I'm going to find inside the motor!! I do know before the piston skirt broke it had plenty of power. Sitting on 14.9 rubber it would pull 3-14's HARD all day long.
