Does it do it while in Neutral with the clutch out? Or just when driving? My Farmall C did the exact same thing you described, though it only does it when driving. Been sitting all winter, fired it up to let it run for a bit since it hasn't in a while, drove it around the barn and it started making a clicking/knock noise in the rear. Only does it when moving though. In neutral with the clutch out it's silent as a church mouse. Haven't opened it up yet but I suspect it to be something rear end related.
