I got it to start after hooking on the battery charger and using the 200 amp boost. The starter rumbled though like the end gear was not disengaging. I shut it down. Is there a trick to getting it to retract? I pulled out the starter and the gear is spun out and it is staying out on the end. Here is a photo. The ring gear is worn. Should the ring gear be replaced?
