I think you will find that the resistor is built into the wiring harness on that model. The resistor is actually the wire that comes from a connector near the ignition switch and goes to the starter solenoid. the wire itself under the insulation will be a silver/gray color rather than plain copper.
The way to tell for sure is to look at where the wires connect to the ignition coil and at the I terminal on the solenoid. If the coil has two wires attached on the battery side and the solenoid has only one there will an external resistor somewhere near the coil. If the coil has only one wire attached coming from the ignition switch and the solenoid has two on the I terminal you have the resistance built into the wiring harness.
If you find the wire is broken you can try repairing it or just replace that section of wire with copper and adding an external resistor.
