p. guy,Roll tractor outside. Remove all flammable stuff from around the immediate area. Pour Diesel into said cylinder to almost full, add a splash of gas, set it on fire. Go drink a cup of Coffee or an Adult Beverage till the fire goes out. If the piston is more near the bottom of the stroke (large volume) it will probably come loose with 1 or 2 burnings if the piston is near the top of the stroke (small volume) it may take multiple burnings to generate enough heat to break the rust loose. When you do this, I would leave the jack in place under it as you described above, the weight of the tractor will work for you as the fire burns. Hope this helps.
