No answers, but a few facts that might help.
- 5th gear doesn't move near as far as the rest of the gears. This is bc it uses the inside of the 4/5 gear.
- There are springs that push giant steel balls down into the detents on your shift rails to hold it in gear. These springs will get rusty and break. If it goes in and pops out this is a common problem.
