It is a C and it does stand for Corp. International Harvester Corporation Some people call the old logo the "Circle C" logo. Somebody called it a circle and that is partially correct, but it is a C.
Here is a little trivia that I just learned. International started switching the logo over when they bought out the Deering family. They started with the tractors bc they were the best selling and then finished buying the Deerings out on the seldom sold stuff. Therefore you will see the IHC longer on stuff like manure spreaders or quack diggers etc. It was a process that took about 5 years and started in 1946. *I wrote none of this data down, but it is accurate to the best of my knowledge. I also did not go double check it, but I trust the guy.
