My International 444 gas has good oil pressure when cold, 40-50 psi, but after it it heats up the oil pressure drops to 10-15 psi when revved up to working rpm's. When it's idled and hot the pressure drops to almost nothing. The 'big boys' tell me it's either the oil pump or rod bearings. I'm thinking of dropping the pan to take a look at the oil pump. Is there a spring in it that can be shimmed or any other adjustments that can be made, or will it have to be replaced. Think while I have it down I'll just go ahead and replace the bearings. Should I order replacements now or wait and micrometer the crank races before ordering? The enging isn't knocking or making any other weird noises.
