You could have bent something when installing. Not much room to work, but you can leave the bolts loose when you push the two halves of the tractor together and tighten through the hand hole. That has to be done on the tractors with IPTO, not necessarily the 140. Otherwise, the release bearing is not pushing the fingers in far enough. I hope you did not mess with the fingers before installation, they are "supposed" to be set at the factory. Also, some clutches have extra bolts to hold the fingers compressed for easier installation. Those have to be removed. I don't think the newer clutches have them, but you might check.
