I don't recall seeing any 560s come out new with suitcase weights in our area. If they had weights it was the slab weights. First time I recall seeing a 560 with suitcase weights was after the 06 series came out.
We never owned a 560. We did buy a new 656 in '67. Other than being more comfortable operate the 450 we had at the time would pull rings around that 656. The 450 did have oversized pistons. I can remember the first year we owned the 656 pulling a 7 knife AA applicator with it. 3rd gear with TA pulled back was tops till the 1000 gal wagon got to less than 1/2 full then could shift the TA forward. I don't recall why but we had to have the 656 taken into the dealers shop & put the AA applicator behind the 450 and could run 3rd with TA forward when the wagon was full.
Maybe it was that particular tractor but it was a gutless wonder. But I have talked to others that owned 656s back in the day & many said the same thing. Others swore by them. My wife did everything but dance a jig when that tractor went down the road.

The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
