Paul, The easiest way is to simply locate the bolts that hold the magneto or distributor to the engine and loosen them until you can turn the mag/dist without it turning on it's own. Then start the tractor and "adjust" the timing until it works right, then tighten the bolts. Otherwise, you will need either a manual and a timing light or some advice from someone that has done this before. I have retimed a C once, but that was over two years ago and I had a manual.
