706 Oil Cooler

Trying to remove the oil cooler on a 706 (282-D) and I must be doing something wrong. I was able to remove the nuts that attach to oil cooler to the manifold that is attached to oil filter housing. When I tried to back to cooler off I hit the engine and can't clear the bolts. I'm not sure, but I think the bolts that attach the cooler manifold to the filter base go through into the block. Problem is I cannot back that bolt out because it backs into the side rail. The other two bolts that attach the cooler manifold to the filter base use Allen wrenches and the side rail prevents me from getting them in. Help! I must be doing something wrong, this cannot be this hard. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
