The 436 motor is an excellent engine, The only down side with a 1586 and even the 1566 and 1568 is they are only a 3 speed transmission verses the 4 speeds in the 1486. IF it were me i would try to get it running first, that way you can check the clutch, trans, TA, and rearend. If the TA is out your looking at atleast $3000-$5000 if you get a dealer to do it. You can do it yourself but it is a very labour intensive job. Good luck and let use know how you make out.
