Hi Daniel My knowledge of the F14 comes from the School of Hard Knocks, but I'm glad to help when I can. You're right, the belt pulley runs whenever the clutch is engaged. I'm pretty sure it runs off the other end of the same shaft that runs the hydraulic pump. The lever you're seeing is the shifter for the PTO. You can shift it in and out with the clutch engaged, but it's not recommended. You'll likely notice that shifting it properly (using the clutch) from the seat is darn near impossible. I've rigged an ugly but efficient linkage on mine so I can shift the sicklemower in and out comfortably from the seat. I'm semi-retired, doing odd jobs and trying to run a hobby farm, so I'm awful hard to catch by phone. This time of year, by the time I get to the house most evenings, all I'm interested in is supper and bed. We can try yakking by email, I'll drop you a line.

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
