Think the rear two holes were used to mount a O-4 seat when the top cover was installed on a O-4 tractor. Never thought to check a O-4 tractor to be sure some of the few times around one. For a year, year and a half or so after IH quit making the slot top transmission cover for H tractors, only two bolt holes in covers were used to mount the seats. After that 2 more were added near the front set for a total of 4 bolts mounting the seat to cover on a H.
