4 rib front tire vs. 3 rib

I ordered 3 rib front tires for my Farmall H (row crop), but the tire supplier accidently ordered the 4 rib fronts. Due to time constraints I took the 4 rib tires. Did I just commit a cardinal sin as far as keeping with the original 1940 tractor appearance? If so, can I be forgiven? When did 4 rib front tires come out, and what is the advantage/disadvantage? Thank you.
