Have you googled "how to"? Have you googled rebuild generator? Have you tried your library for a rebuild manual for generators? I was 15, had never had one apart, but diassembled the genny off my 40 Ford flathead. Went to the parts store and they showed me what i needed. Cleaned it up, installled new brushes, bushings, lube. Reassembled and good to go. You ought to be able to do it.
