Hi
I recently fix my brakes on my B414 because they weren't working very well, and one thing led to another and I ended up with everything out of the differential housing...long story.
Anyhow, it's now time to put it back together and I am looking at the diff locker and the seal i bought which is according to the book, I can't figure out how it fits.
When i look at the picture on the CaseIH website there are 2 o-rings and an oil seal.
One o-ring goes inside the 'retainer'
One o-ring goes on the outside of the 'retainer'
and where does the oil seal sit?
Does it go on it and then inside the bull pinion shaft?
When i do a mock reassembly, I feel it needs to sit inside the shaft, but I keep getting told it just sits against the shaft face, but if that's the case what happens when the 'retainer' is pushed in and out to engage and disengage the diff locker?
