Steering supports and throttle linkage, battery boxes, clutch pedal, fuel tanks, air cleaner gas models, IPTO operating handle, radiators and fan shrould, transmission top cover and shift forks, starter, wireing and gage locations. Early F 400 used the same rear cast wheels, t/a operating handle and engine block cast # as a SMTA. later 400 used slightly different parts.
On gas engines the 400 used a different head, manifold, valve cover, camshaft, carburetor, distributor advance set up, and some other small things. Later 400 used different connecting rods, pistons, piston pins, camshaft gear and not to far into production a dipstick in engine block was added.
Diesel engines had very few changes except part of 400 tractors used a B type injection pump and the last few came with open type injectors. Max horsepower tests for a SMD and a F400D were the same or fractions different for the two.
Probably forgot something. Yes gear shifter and generator mounting braket on part of the 400 tractors.

Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
