The "M" may have come from the factory with an IH WFE. The Schwartz WFE is an acceptable aftermarket add-on component. For serviceability, the Schwartz will work fine but it is not original. The power assist steering could be a Behlins unit or a more modern Char-Lynn Torque multiplier. Both units are installed in the steering shaft. Hydraulic power may come from a live hydraulic pump installed between the mag/distributor and front accessory drive gear or a automotive power steering pump driven by a v-belt. The power steering, again, is not original. Perhaps the last M's made may have had power steering installed fron the factory but not likely. The tractor sounds like a utility rather than show unit. Values of "M"s in California are low because high availability. Good luck. I have several "M"s ranging in condition from excellant everyday workhorses to parts tractors.
