The control handles can fail. It will feel like a dead chicken leg if it is stripped at the control. If it feels Normal, does the engine bog a little when attempting to raise or lower, If so the safety valve in the cylinder might have gotten stuck. If it does not it is in the inside hydraulics. The pump drives the distributor, so the shaft is OK. The key on the shaft turning the gears in the pump could be sheared, (not high likelyhood). The suction screen could be blocked, or the tiny regulator valve and screen could be stuck. Keep us informed. Put blocking under the blade or take it off before relieving pressure! Jim
