Both lines are still going through the sediment bowl. It's just that the sediment bowl is on the little tank. The line on the big tank goes to the sediment bowl, which in turn goes to the carb. I have the sediment bowl with two holes.
Sorry if I wasn't clear on that. I realize the inline filter is not original, but the rest of the setup appears to be. (Note I said "appears" to be. I realize that in 70 years a lot of things could have been changed. That's why I originally asked the question!)
