Bob, I banded the rears of my Fordson with 3/8 X 6" and have not had any flattening between the cleats. Sure makes it easy to roll around the shop too. A layer of rubber belt lagging over the steel made for safer loading up wooden ramps. If I were doing it again, I'd try skirtboard rubber.
