Adam: Your last question about limited lift caused by the chains means that you could pick a better location for attachment of the chains. The attachment should be near or at the PIVOT points or at least in a side to side alignment to those pivot points. That will not tighten or loosen the chain as the lift is raised or lowered. Refer to some of your high school math classes in trig or vector analysis.. Have another person take a look too as somtimes one can't spot the problem untill another person explaines it. good luck. harvey
