2 things that I know of that will cause that. Could be condensation build up thats not allowing the TA engage or the clutch (water plugging filters). Or the clutch. My 1206 did that this winter. Had just put a bale in the feeder and was driving back to park....clutch let go. So clutch kit with clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing and throw out bearing plus rear engine seal, new I PTO shaft and seal kit. About 700 in parts with resurfacing the flywheel.
