Hello, Not sure if this is a silly question or not. I am needing to remove the entire PTO from my tractor, so I can get to the rear axles. The question I have is... Do I have to take apart the entire PTO? My IT shop manual is assuming I want to do this. I really don't. I was hoping I could remove the entire unit pretty much in one shot, rather than taking each gear out at a time. The PTO looks to have a total of 6 bolts, 4 good size and 2 a bit smaller. I was hoping to just remove them, I think, and kinda wiggle the entier PTO out. I am asuming lots, like it would just shimmy right out... I wasn't really wanting to take apart the PTO, but if that's the way it has to go, I will... Just didn't want to take apart something the wasn't broken and possibly cause leaks... I'm pretty lucky that way...
