To look at this logically, the main thing that would cause this problem is a lack of spark. This could be traced to bad plugs, wires, distributor cap, etc. I also suppose there could be some internal problem causing this failure. The thing to do would be to pull your plugs, make sure they are not cracked or are discolored bad. Then make sure your plug wires are good. If all of this checks out, get into the distributor and make sure everything is functioning correctly (for example, rotor button, points, etc.). If the tractor is in good condition otherwise, you will most likely find a problem with one of these components. Good luck, SF
