EVEN MORE And thats right iffffffffff the genny is working,,,,,,,And iffffffff the cutout relay is closed (enabling genny to be coupled up to battery).
As yall know the cutout relay shouldnt close unless and until the gennys output voltage (across its ARM post and frame ground) exceeds battery voltage.
I dont put too much faith on a gennys open unloaded output voltage (ARM to ground) value (for troubleshooting purposes, other then it obviously has to be greater then 6.3 volts or so) as that can drop once the battery becomes in contact. Its to what voltage the genny can raise a battery/load that really matters versus spinning it on a bench with no load applied.
